3C Systems, Ltd. is the new form of a company that has been in business since 1986. The company is unique in that we are accomplished in all of the disciplines of the new industry known a "Home Systems or Electronic Architect". Home systems includes; home theater, multi-room central audio, security and fire protection systems, telecommunications, computer networking, custom intercom, access control, home automation, low voltage lighting controls, and a variety of imaginative motorized furniture and lifts. 3C installations have been featured in, North Carolina Builder, Southern Living, the News and Observer , and TV News Specials. The company is also involved in commercial applications, with installations in such companies as GE Capitol.

A venture with 3C Systems, Ltd. is certainly worth consideration. Inevitably, contacts between 3C's staff and our clients results in new and inventive applications which, tempered by years of experience, result in innovative solutions that really work. 3C Systems installations have the consistent characteristics of taste, style, and convenience. Our staff takes the increasingly confusing array of evolving consumer electronics and crafts an installation that is simple to use. The principle of the company have over 45 years of combined experience in electronics and custom installation, in addition to their years of general business experience. They are actively involved in the daily operations of the company, contributing expertise in every area from engineering to marketing.


The 3C showroom in Morrisville, adjacent to the Raleigh-Durham Airport, artfully demonstrates his ability to combine style and electronic function. CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association), the only national organization for certified custom installers, and is responsible for their educational and certification programs.



Jim Hurdis
Jim Hurdis founded 3C Systems, Ltd. in 1986 and is it's current President. Jim has a reputation in the industry for creating unique and reliable electronic systems. With installations throughout North Carolina, Jim’s clients include hundreds of affluent residential and commercial accounts. He has also done engineering analysis and consulting for many national corporations. The 3C showroom in Morrisville adjacent to the Raleigh-Durham Airport artfully demonstrates his ability to combine style and electronic function.

Jim Ankeny Jim Ankeny has 17 years of custom systems installations which includes all forms of, audio visual systems, multi-line phones, home automation, access control, and security. He has installed systems in elite homes in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina. He is actively involved with CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association), the only national organization for certified custom installers, and is responsible for their educational and certification programs. Jim has a diverse background anchored in the Audio/Video Automation industry and brings sales, marketing, and operations skills and knowledge to the company. His promotional skills in the past have produced events boosting sales increases as high as 300 percent. As the previous owner of his own home automation company, Jim brought additional product lines, including audio video, to the company.
